Fortrose & The Black Isle

The Black Isle is one of the most  beautiful areas in the Highlands. It is renowned for its gentle microclimate, its pristine beaches and varied sea life.

We are just a short walk down the beach to Chanonry Point, world-famous for bottlenose dolphins, seals and  diverse sea birds.

A popular stop on the NC500 route, we are adjacent to the ruins of Fortrose Cathedral and its 14th Century Chapter House; nearby are Fortrose Harbour, the seaside village of Rosemarkie, and our world-famous links golf course.  The area is perfect for walks, cycling, golfing and any other outdoor pursuits you can imagine.

Then, of course, there are the area's dozens of Highland distilleries. You might, however, prefer to discover those from the comfort of our Whisky Bar!
